Knudson worked on this successful 32 acre apartment redevelopment project. Services included providing an expanded vision over the original developer plan, financing strategy to execute the vision, construction management services to prepare the site, program management services to coordinate multiple agency and department approvals. Additionally, Knudson was responsible for obtaining financing approvals that brought over $13M in funding to the project, as well as facilitating neighborhood outreach to gain public support for the vision and ultimate implementation. Today, this project is considered one of the finest examples of the use of special districts to catalyze development, leverage funding and public approvals to create new community that is home to an estimated 4,000 Houstonians.
