Northgate Crossing

In order to accommodate a significant but rare flooding issue, the planners of Northgate Crossing created the first subdivision in Harris County Utilizing a levee.
Ultimate mitigation requirements led to the use of the design and construction team of Knudson’s environmental coordinator, Katie Northrup, P.G. To satisfy mitigation requirements for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permitting, a mosaic of islands were developed within an on-site detention lake to enhance wetland values by maximizing edge effect for aquatic life and provide fir the area, a distinctive amenity. |
