Imperial Oaks Subdivision

Imperial Oaks, a wetland bound, partially developed subdivision of approximately 1,000 acres, was turned into a textbook account of converting a difficult development into an environmentally sound area.

Combining wetland preservation and enhancement with imaginative land planning and sitting techniques, Knudson’s planning director and environmental coordinator guided the developer into a process of avoidance and minimization of impacts to all areas containing wetlands and other areas containing sensitive natural resources.

This effort resulted in features suitable to humans and wildlife, satisfied the regulatory and resource agencies, as well as provided the developer an excellent marketing tool. The mitigation plans qualifies for and has received multiple grants.
